3D MoS2-graphene hybrid aerogels as catalyst for enhanced efficient hydrogen evolution

A new preparation, the morphology and microscopic structures of MoS2/rGO aerogels, were controlled by adjusting the hydrothermal temperature. The MoS2/rGO hybrid aerogels exhibit a well-constructed 3D porous architecture and a novel 3D leaf-like nanostructure, which, up to now, have not been reported. The MoS2/rGO hybrid prepared by this approach exhibits excellent HER activity, possessing a rather low overpotential of 105 mV, a relatively smaller Tafel slope of 51 mV/dec and high exchange current density of 3.28 × 10−5 A/cm2, compared to other materials.
