Surface modification with Co3O4 onto LiNi0.03Mn1.97O4 was synthesized. Ni doping and Co3O4 coating layer can stable crystal structure and dwindle Mn dissolution. Co3O4 coating layer can prevent LiMn2O4 from undesired reaction with HF. The 2 wt% Co3O4-coated LiNi0.03Mn1.97O4 materials exhibit excellent properties.
