Different alloyed and non-alloyed QD nanocrystals have been synthesized. The photophysical properties of the QDs have been comparatively investigated. There is no direct relationship between the PL QY and fluorescence stability of the nanocrystals. The structural nature of the nanocrystals influenced their photophysical properties.
