Performed cyclic compression with periodic tests of cartilages' functional responses. Load frequency significantly affected cartilages' time to equilibrium. Force–frequency interaction had significant effect on time to equilibrium, thickness. Increased load cycles significantly affected cartilages' stiffness and thickness.
