Transparent glass ceramics containing NaZnPO4 nanocrystals were obtained in a borophosphate glass system for the first time. Mn2+:4T1(G)→6A1(S) red emission was observed in the glass ceramics excited by 415 nm. Effects of heating time and dopant concentration on the luminescent properties of glass ceramics were investigated.
