Paternal deprivation affects social behaviors and neurochemical systems in the offspring of socially monogamous prairie voles

文摘
Pups raised by both parents (MF) received more parental care than ones raised by mothers only (MO). Paternal deprivation (PD) during early development led to an increase in social affiliation. PD experience was associated with enhanced BDNF, TrkB, H3, and H3ace protein expression in the hippocampus. PD experience also affected hippocampal GRβ, OTR, and CRHR2 protein expression in a sex-specific manner. Altered neurochemical expression in the hippocampus may mediate social affiliation.
