A novel sandwich-type traveling wave piezoelectric tracked mobile system is proposed. The proposed tracked mobile system could move without lubricant. The proposed tracked mobile system has a potential to planetary exploration. The tracked mobile system prototype exhibits an excellent motion characteristic. The tracked mobile system prototype has a high ratio of the maximum load to self-weight of the system.
