Cingulate cortex functional connectivity predicts future relapse in alcohol dependent individuals

文摘
AUD patients showed blunted cingulate connectivity to alcohol and stress cues. Cingulate connectivity predicted time to relapse in AUD patients. Greater PCC connectivity during alcohol cues predicted longer time to relapse. AUD vs. HC subjects showed less cingulate connectivity to alcohol and stress cues. The cingulate cortex emerged as a marker of subsequent alcohol relapse.
