MnFeNiCuPt and MnFeNiCuCo high-entropy alloys designed based on L10 structure in Pettifor map for binary compounds

Dual fcc structures formed in as-prepared MnFeNiCuPt and MnFeNiCuCo alloys. A single and dual fcc phases form in Pt and Co-containing alloys, respectively, in equilibria. A single L12 ordered phase form in annealed MnFeNiCuPt alloy when cooled in furnace. Pettifor map for binary compounds was used for alloy design. MnFeNiCuPt and MnFeNiCuCo high-entropy alloys exhibit soft magnetism.
