The Li3Ni2NbO6 epitaxial disks embedded in Li3NbO4 films were fabricated by using a pulsed laser deposition technique. The size of the Li3Ni2NbO6 disks was typically a few micrometers in diameter and ~ 100 nm in height. The Li3Ni2NbO6 disks are separated from the Li3NbO4 films by amorphous compounds. The growth processes of the Li3Ni2NbO6-Li3NbO4 nanostructures are proposed.
