The use of Cyclopentasiloxane (D5) in cosmetic products is safe at the reported concentrations. However Cyclopentasiloxane is not safe in hair styling aerosols and sun care spray products at the reported concentrations. This opinion did not address the potential impact of D5 on the environment.
