A pilot-scale (10 kWe) downdraft type fixed bed gasifier was designed & developed. A various wood-lignite mixture (w/w) was used as feedstock for downdraft gasifier. Effect of wood content on the clinker formation and gasifier performance was studied. Gas yield and fuel consumption increased with increase in wood content. The presence of wood improved the process efficiency and heating value of gas.
