Geothermal systems can induce potentially damaging seismicity. Geothermal Risk of Induced seismicity Diagnosis (GRID) identifies the level of concern. GRID accounts for seismic hazard, exposure, vulnerability, and social concern. Four categories of projects are defined, from no induced seismicity concern to high concern. A framework for tailor-made risk governance for every category is suggested.
