A 1D long core displacement device was designed to study air-foam system flooding. Profile-controlling mechanisms by air-foam system flooding were analyzed. Air-foam system flooding can greatly improve oil displacement efficiency. Results were successfully used to guide a pilot test in the ZenPing tight oil well area.
