The direction and strength of the association between housing prices and their potential determinants are analyzed. Spatial regression and geographical detector techniques are used. Housing prices of Chinese counties are featured by significant spatial autocorrelation. Living space negatively influence housing prices, while others positively do. The cost of land had a greater influence on housing prices than other factors.
