In this paper, novel honeycomb- and flowerlike CuO nanoarchitectures assembled from nanowires and nanoribbons weresuccessively prepared on copper foils by an anion-controlled mild hydrothermal method. A series of control experiments confirm that theconcentration of inorganic anions, the concentration of surfactant, and the kind of inorganic anions have direct influences on the morphologyof the products. On the basis of these experimental results, possible influence mechanisms in the growth processes are proposed.
