Conditions were developed for syntheses of 尾-enamino esters, thioesters, and amides. These reactions involve hydroxybenzotriazole derivatives in buffered media. Illustrative syntheses of some heterocyclic systems are given, including some related to protein鈥損rotein interface mimics.
