A new method for the production of valienamine with the microbial degradation ofacarbose is described. The microorganism was screened by our laboratory and identifiedas Stenotrophomonas maltrophilia. After separation, valienamine was analyzed withUV, IR, and ¹H and ¹³C NMR. The yield was more than 60%.
