Background/AimsRecent studies among the general public in Germany related to personal preparedness for disasters revealed inadequate individual knowledge about disaster preparedness and personal preparedness. Therefore, this study tried to evaluate personal disaster preparedness especially in prospective leaders of nursing and healthcare institutions in Germany.
