Three dinuclear Cu$^II$ perchlorate complexes of macrocyclicligands derived from the condensation of sodium 4-X-2,6-diformylphenolate(X=Me, Cl or Bu$^t$) with1,5-diamino-3-(8-methylquinolyl)azapentane were prepared by in situtransmetallation with Cu(ClO$\_4$)$\_2$ and characterizedby physicochemical, spectroscopic and electrochemical methods.
