The aim of this study was to measure rape and fantasy rape myth endorsements among men and women. Differences in rape myth endorsement were compared between genders and between participants who received information on rape myths and those who did not receive information. The Illinois Rape Myth Assessment-Short Form (IRMA-SF) and the Forceful Fantasy Rape Myth Scale (FFRMS) was used to measure rape myth endorsement in a sample of 172 students at Fresno State College. Results showed men were more likely to endorse higher levels of rape myths than were women on the IRMA-SF. Men were more likely to provide more neutral responses and provide more neutral responses compared to women. No significant results were found between participants who received information from those who did not receive information.
