CHIME dating and age mapping of monazite from the Dongqing pluton in SE Jilin, China

@@The Dongqing pluton is conspicuous in comprising two-mica and garnet-bearing muscovite granites with other I- and A-types granites in the SE Jilin province. Fang [1] reported a monazite208pb/232Th age of 208 Ma. This age, however, is inconsistent with the whole-rock Rb-Sr isochron ageof 156±3 Ma and the Sm-Nd garnet and whole-rock isochron age of 162±4 Ma [2]. We examinemonazite age by the CHIME method coupled with the age-mapping technique.
